The Master of Science in Food and Animal Sciences program provides two pathways: thesis or non-thesis. For the thesis track, students must complete at least twenty-six (26) course credits plus a four (4) credit thesis. Degree candidates take eighteen (18) required credits: AGSC 5060, AGSC 5110, AGSC 5120, AGSC 5150, AGSC 5540, AGSC 5610, AGSC 5620, along with up to twelve (12) elective credits. The non-thesis alternative requires thirty-five (35) course credits, including seventeen (17) core credits: AGSC 5060, AGSC 5110, AGSC 5350, AGSC 5150, AGSC 5540, AGSC 5610, AGSC 5620, plus a maximum of eighteen (18) approved electives. All course selections require approval from both the academic advisor and department chair.
