The Computer Science Department provides a Master of Science program in Computer Science. This M.S. program enables both recent graduates and professionals with work experience to advance their careers while engaging with innovative computer science fields. Students can choose from three specialization tracks: (1) Data Science, (2) Cybersecurity and Networking, and (3) High-Performance Computing with Bioinformatics.
The Computer Science M.S. program features both thesis and non-thesis pathways. Participants must fulfill 33 credit hours, comprising 9 credits of foundational core courses, 12 credits in their chosen specialization, 6 elective credits, and either 6 credits of design-focused coursework (non-thesis) or 6 thesis credits (thesis option).
With advisor approval and department chair authorization, students may request substitutions for certain core course requirements.
