Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: All applicants must present credentials that are the equivalent of an accredited baccalaureate degree. The minimum acceptable undergraduate GPA for regular entry applicants is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 in the last 2 years of study (i.e., 60 credits of the bachelor's degree). In addition, an applicant who has completed at least 9 credits of graduate coursework with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 may be considered for admission.
A bachelor's degree in Social Work (B.S.W.) is required for Advanced Standing applicants. Applicants for advanced standing must have achieved an undergraduate GPA of 3.25 in all undergraduate coursework and at least 3.25 in their junior/senior years
Standardized Test Scores:
Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master's degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:

TOEFL iBT: 79
IELTS Academic: 6.5
550 on the paper-based (PBT)

The minimum admissions standard for all graduate students is ordinarily an undergraduate grade point average of B or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the functional equivalent for students who have attended universities outside of the United States.
