The School of Pharmacy provides graduate programs for both M.S. (with Thesis or Non-Thesis tracks) and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specializing in Pharmaceutics. These programs equip students for careers in pharmaceutical companies, government organizations, and academic roles within pharmacy education. Situated on Temple University's dynamic Health Sciences Center campus, the School aims to connect drug discovery, fundamental preclinical research, and translational medicine. We maintain our commitment to educational excellence while driving cutting-edge research initiatives. Through these efforts, we cultivate the next generation of experts in pharmaceutical sciences, drug development, and preclinical/translational research. Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline: A baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

Statement of Goals: In approximately 500 to 1,000 words, state your specific interest in Temple's program, your research goals, your future career goals, and your academic and research achievements.

Standardized Test Scores:
GRE: Required for the Thesis Option. Scores should be in the 65th percentile or above. Note that the GRE is not required for the Non-Thesis Option.

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master's degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums:

Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences: 585 for paper version, 230 for computer version, 85 for internet (IBT) version.
IELTS Academic: 6.5
The minimum admissions standard for all graduate students is ordinarily an undergraduate grade point average of B or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the functional equivalent for students who have attended universities outside of the United States.
Resume: Current resume or CV is required whether applying for the Thesis Option or the Non-Thesis Option.
