Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music that combines broad liberal arts studies with an intensive general music program. Through coursework and internships, students gain preparation for various music-related professions including editing, journalism, publishing, as well as non-music fields like law, library science, and healthcare. Unlike performance-focused degrees that develop professional musicians, the Music BS emphasizes analytical, creative, and critical thinking about music. If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
