The City and Regional Planning graduate program equips students with professional planning expertise to tackle the multifaceted challenges of enhancing communities, urban areas, and regions. Graduates develop competencies in sustainability, environmental planning, public participation, and cutting-edge methodologies, alongside a comprehensive grasp of planning's physical and economic dimensions. They gain sensitivity toward the social and environmental consequences of planning choices and an understanding of governmental frameworks relevant to planning. Those completing accredited programs qualify for AICP Candidate status, a pre-certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners. The 4Plus1 Accelerated BA/BS to MS program allows Temple University students from any major to earn both a bachelor's and a master's in City and Regional Planning within five years instead of six. Participants can take 12 graduate credits while paying undergraduate tuition rates.
