The Community Planning and Development Program equips you for a fulfilling career in professional planning. You'll master advanced methods for creating vibrant communities while exploring regional planning laws, policies, and design principles. IUP's accredited Bachelor of Science in Regional Planning stands among just 17 such undergraduate programs nationwide, offering distinct advantages for employment and professional credentials.

Every planning student completes at least one internship, gaining valuable work experience. These opportunities often translate into post-graduation employment through the professional connections made.

Through our Geography and Regional Planning Department, you'll work with industry-standard tools in specialized facilities including planning design labs, GIS workstations, and our sUAS (Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems) equipment.

Official transcripts from a high school or other secondary school in English are required for all students.
