The Bachelor of Science in Education for Middle Grades Education equips undergraduate students to teach students from fourth through eighth grade. This College of Education and Human Development program not only addresses the increasing need for certified teachers but also ensures graduates possess extensive knowledge about teaching methods while being dedicated to serving diverse pre-adolescent and adolescent learners. Our curriculum emphasizes developing specialized teaching skills that align with academic standards and cater to the varied developmental stages of middle school students. To bridge theory with practice, we incorporate frequent, strategically planned field experiences in middle school environments. What makes our program exceptional is its focus on preparing undergraduates to teach effectively in both upper elementary and middle school classrooms.
