Earn a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Art Education at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture. This 155-credit undergraduate program offers one of two routes to obtain Pennsylvania art teaching certification and pursue a career as a teaching artist. Alternatively, students can achieve certification through the Bachelor of Fine Arts program with an Art Education Concentration.
The NASAD-accredited BSEd in Art Education prepares graduates for Pennsylvania Teacher Certification in art, covering kindergarten through 12th grade. The curriculum combines intensive coursework in art education, art history, studio art, and Temple's General Education requirements with hands-on teaching experiences across Philadelphia schools at various grade levels.

If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
