The College of Engineering provides a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, equipping students for careers in designing, constructing, and maintaining our built environment. Civil engineers develop structures like bridges, buildings, canals, dams, roads, tunnels, and water treatment facilities to meet societal infrastructure demands. They produce structural plans and infrastructure systems that enhance living standards by enabling access to clean water, safe public venues, and reliable transportation. The College of Engineering offers an optional Cooperative Education (Co-Op) program, allowing students to acquire professional experience prior to completing their degree. This program enables you to implement classroom knowledge in practical scenarios. At a worksite, you'll encounter cutting-edge technology and innovative concepts, deepening your understanding of the profession. Throughout the Co-Op, you'll establish important professional networks. Participating in cooperative education can advance your growth academically, professionally, and personally.
