The City and Regional Planning graduate program equips students to become skilled professionals capable of tackling the multifaceted issues of enhancing communities, urban areas, and larger regions. Graduates develop expertise in sustainability, environmental planning, public participation, and cutting-edge techniques, along with a comprehensive grasp of planning's physical and economic dimensions. They gain sensitivity to planning's social and environmental consequences and an understanding of governmental frameworks relevant to planning. Those completing accredited programs qualify for AICP Candidate status, a pre-certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners. The accelerated 4+1 BA/BS to MS program allows Temple University students from any major to earn both a bachelor's degree and a Master's in City and Regional Planning within five years instead of six. 4+1 participants can take 12 graduate credits while paying undergraduate tuition rates.
