The Maxwell School provides a combined Economics and International Relations program enabling students to obtain dual MA degrees in both International Relations and Economics within just two years. Participants will tackle rigorous coursework in economic theory and econometrics alongside foundational International Relations classes. This program equips learners with practical quantitative skills applicable to diverse career paths in government, private industry, or NGOs. Specialization options encompass econometrics, economic development, international economics, urban/regional economics, and finance. This professional domain presents a distinctive chance to bridge corporate financial priorities with complex political and social considerations. With increasing globalization of banking services and growing impact of emerging markets on established financial systems, comprehending how international factors affect interest rates, currency valuations, securities pricing, and domestic economies becomes essential.

Transcripts: Official transcripts are not required at the time of application, but will be necessary to enroll into the program
Letters of recommendation: Three (3) letters of recommendation from a current or previous faculty member and/or professional supervisor

Admitted students over the past three years have had median GPAs of 3.5. Past GRE scores of successful candidates who chose to submit them averaged: 158 Verbal, 156 Quantitative and 4.5 Analytical Writing. The median TOEFL scores of those applicants admitted over the past three years have been above 105. Minimum scores for English Language proficiency are 100 for the TOEFL and 7.0 for the IELTS.
