The Russian and Central European Studies major is an interdisciplinary program that has been designed with some flexibility in order to serve students who wish to focus their liberal arts education on Russian and Central European studies, as well as those who look forward to a career as specialists in Russian or Central European affairs.

Student Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to demonstrate the 201-proficiency level of one of the languages offered for the area
Describe modern history and political development of the Russian or Central European region
Describe the peoples and cultures in Russia or Central Europe
Use humanistic or social scientific methodologies to express knowledge about issues relating to Russia or Central Europe
