Our program offers a grounding in geological fundamentals and associated sciences, featuring four labs, a seismograph, and hands-on fieldwork. An updated environmental earth sciences pathway combines interdisciplinary environmental studies from biology, chemistry, weather science, and physics.
Oswego's prime location enables practical studies of Lake Ontario, Paleozoic-era sedimentary formations, Adirondack Precambrian bedrock, glacial remnants, and water contamination. Excursions may visit southeastern Pennsylvania, Chesapeake Bay, Ithaca, Whitaker State Park, and the Catskills.
Collaborate with professors nationwide on research projects or gain direct field experience through our Geology Field Program.
