This concentration enables students to examine policy and decision-making processes through the perspective of political and ethical philosophy. The focus lies on understanding the core philosophical principles that shape both public and private policy institutions. Learners explore political theories ranging from Ancient Greek to Enlightenment and Modern eras while addressing ethical considerations in policy formation. These fundamental concepts can be implemented across diverse sectors including healthcare, legal systems, corporate environments, educational institutions, government, non-profit organizations, and ecological concerns. The Public Policy undergraduate program equips graduates to engage meaningfully in policy debates as informed citizens and emerging professionals, secure initial roles in policy research initiatives and agencies, and advance to graduate programs in law, business administration, healthcare fields, and various academic areas such as economics and political science.
