Offers students a comprehensive understanding of the U.S. political framework and other governmental structures, examining them through the lens of worldwide influences, international tensions, societal changes, belief systems, and cultural diversity. Political science majors will gain insight into policymaking processes while honing analytical abilities valuable for careers in public service, corporate sectors, graduate programs, and nonprofit entities. To earn a Bachelor of Arts in political science, students concentrate on one of five specialized paths: Justice and Legal Studies, Political and Economic Progress, Voting Systems and Public Administration, Global Affairs, or Data Analytics. Learners complement their main concentration with a secondary focus area, a foundational political science course, and diverse electives available both within the department and across campus. The program thoroughly prepares participants for advanced academic pursuits in graduate or professional institutions, as well as for roles in public administration, corporate environments, and charitable organizations.
