Anthropology focuses on examining humanity and human communities throughout history and across different regions. Unlike other social sciences, it emphasizes the entire timeline of human existence and encompasses all types of societies and cultures, particularly those from historically underrepresented areas. This discipline is particularly sensitive to matters of social, cultural, and biological variation, as well as power dynamics, identity, and disparities. It also seeks to comprehend evolving social, historical, ecological, and biological transformations. Studying Anthropology offers valuable skills for navigating our diverse, interconnected planet and prepares students for professions in law, healthcare, commerce, government, research, environmental conservation, and resource administration. Degree options in Anthropology include undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs.
