The Associate of Applied Science in Vision Care Technology equips students with essential skills for a career in Ophthalmology. Students will develop competencies in areas such as taking patient histories, conducting vision evaluations, performing manifest refractions (using both plus and minus cylinder techniques), assessing color vision and ocular motility, evaluating visual fields, conducting A-Scans, capturing ophthalmic images, and acquiring surgical techniques.
