Surgical Technologists work in hospitals, surgical centers, and medical offices, providing critical support throughout surgical procedures. Skyline's comprehensive program blends classroom learning with hands-on training, teaching students to sterilize instruments, assist surgeons during operations, and operate advanced medical devices. Upon completion, graduates qualify to sit for the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) national examination. Skyline College's Surgical Technology Program holds accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP).
Certification Prerequisites: Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology Program. Skyline's accreditation was granted following strong recommendations from the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting to CAAHEP.
