Beyond academics, faculty engage with students through the Economics Liaison, where they explore current economic issues, arrange guest lectures, and participate in external events. The Economics Liaison also partners with the Department to coordinate initiatives designed to assist students in obtaining internships and smoothly transitioning into professional careers or graduate studies. Students further enhance their career readiness through the Department's Econnect initiative, which hosts annual networking dinners with economics alumnae and workshops covering networking strategies, negotiation techniques, interview preparation, resume crafting, and LinkedIn optimization.
Our students merge their interests, applying their knowledge across diverse sectors such as finance, community development, and government. An economics education also serves as strong groundwork for advanced studies in law, economics, public policy, international relations, management, finance, and numerous other disciplines.
