Wake Forest Economics students are curious individuals with varied passions who thrive in the University's interdisciplinary learning environment. They not only grasp the fundamentals of economic principles but also discover how to apply these concepts to personal finance and societal challenges.
Economics explores human decision-making. Specifically, it examines how incentives shape the actions of different economic actors and influence our understanding of the world. Practically speaking, economics employs both theoretical frameworks and data analysis to study choice behavior. These analytical approaches prove essential for guiding policy decisions.

Our graduates develop robust quantitative abilities through coursework and pursue diverse careers including consulting, healthcare, finance, pharmaceuticals, and real estate, among others. Many also enter public service or non-profit work. Additionally, we prepare students for advanced studies in fields like law, business, economics, and public policy.
