The Department of American Ethnic Studies offers a bachelor's degree program in Native American Studies. This curriculum explores Indigenous experiences across North America through diverse coursework covering historical perspectives, cultural values, political systems, literary traditions, and artistic expressions.
The department maintains that understanding different cultural legacies fosters deeper appreciation of one's own heritage.
This program equips students for successful transition to four-year academic institutions.
Graduates of high schools or equivalent are eligible for admission, with the equivalent of a GPA of 2.0 or better.
Students must be 18 years or older by the start of the semester without restrictions.
