The Clinical Psychology Master of Science (MS) program, administered by the Psychology Department, equips students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing diverse mental health issues affecting individuals (both adults and children), couples, and families. This program prepares graduates for careers in various settings including private practices, public service organizations, community mental health facilities, and hospital environments. The 60-semester-unit curriculum combines mandatory coursework with supervised practical training, fulfilling the educational prerequisites for California's Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) licensure and nearly all requirements for the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.
