The Master of Science in Medical Product Development Management (MPDM) is provided through San Jose State University's College of Science, working jointly with the College of Professional and Global Education and the Lucas Graduate School of Business. This MPDM MS program integrates clinical research, regulatory affairs, bioinformatics, and specialized technical coursework with MBA-level business and management training. Developed in partnership with biomedical industry leaders from the San Francisco Bay Area, the practical curriculum equips students for professional roles in biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and in-vitro diagnostics. For working professionals, classes are scheduled during evenings or weekends, with select online options available for greater flexibility.
U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or the completion of a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized, accredited, and approved institution from a country outside of the U.S. A 2.5 GPA (from the 0.0-4.0 U.S. grading scale) in the last degree completed or a 2.5 GPA in the last two years of full-time study.
