The BSAE program builds upon a solid foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering principles, equipping students for professional roles in aerospace engineering. This includes areas such as the research, design, development, testing, and integration of aircraft and space systems. It also serves as excellent preparation for pursuing graduate studies.

State-of-the-art physical and computational laboratories facilitate hands-on experimentation in aerodynamics, flight mechanics, dynamics, stability & control, aerospace structures, space systems engineering, aircraft design, and spacecraft design.

Each year, students have opportunities to engage in national design-build-fly competitions for aircraft, mentored by industry professionals, and design-build-launch projects for spacecraft, guided by NASA engineers. Students can also become members of the student chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the leading professional organization dedicated to advancing aerospace technology. High-achieving students in the Aerospace Engineering Program may receive invitations to join our local chapter of Sigma Gamma Tau, the honor society for aerospace engineering.
