As the West Coast's premier provider of aviation degrees, the Aviation program within the Department of Aviation and Technology equips students for professional roles as pilots, airport managers, flight operations specialists, and various other positions in the aviation sector. Students gain practical training in fundamental and advanced aviation concepts and practices, covering aircraft design, aviation safety, air traffic control, and legal and labor matters in both domestic and global aviation. Those pursuing bachelor's degrees can specialize in professional flight, flight operations, aviation management, or maintenance management—a concentration that enhances an AS-level FAA-approved community college maintenance (A and P) program. Aviation courses are conducted on campus and at our off-site Reid-Hillview Airport location.
