The Psychology Department aims to cultivate analytical thinkers who apply their understanding of human behavior, cognition, and emotions to thrive in diverse global communities. Our program explores key psychological disciplines, enabling students to grasp the intricacies of human thought and behavior within social and cultural frameworks. Students also receive instruction in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and scientific communication. Practical learning opportunities abound, including faculty-led research laboratories, community initiatives, and collaborations with Silicon Valley organizations. Degree options include a BA in Psychology, minors in Human Systems Integration and Psychology, plus MA and MS programs in Research and Experimental Psychology, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Our undergraduate program, accredited by the Psychology Department, comprehensively addresses core psychological content and methodologies endorsed by the American Psychological Association for rigorous academic preparation. The curriculum's foundational components establish a robust understanding of general psychology, while offering adaptable requirements and elective options. This flexibility allows students, guided by academic advisors, to tailor their studies to specific interests and career aspirations.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
