The Bachelor of Arts in Music program, provided by the School of Music, caters to students pursuing a liberal arts degree with a music concentration. This flexible program allows customization for individual students, culminating in a mandatory senior project.
Prospective students must complete an entrance audition. The curriculum includes core requirements followed by elective courses chosen from at least two different areas, with guidance from the BA Music Advisor, all leading to a Capstone project (MUSC 182). Freshman and sophomore majors must complete four semesters of lower-division applied lessons, with continuous ensemble participation required alongside these lessons.
