The Music Technology program integrates computer technology into its curriculum, allowing students to blend their passions for music, computing, and engineering. Alongside traditional music education from the Music Core, students pursuing this specialization must maintain classical instrument proficiency and participate in ensemble performances and solo recitals.
The Bachelor of Arts in Music with a Music Technology focus caters to those passionate about both music and computing. The program combines classical performance fundamentals with specialized studies in music technology, electrical engineering, and computer engineering.
The Music Department's curriculum aims to immerse students in musical history and significant compositions while building theoretical knowledge and practical skills for deeper musical understanding. Performance opportunities enhance technical abilities and artistic expression. Rooted in liberal arts, all programs foster well-rounded musicianship and personal growth through comprehensive education.
International applicants must meet all established requirements for admission from secondary schools or from other colleges and universities.
In order to be considered for admission to degree programs with no additional English language training required, applicants must meet the following minimums on the TOEFL or IELTS.
TOEFL (iBT): all sub-scores greater than or equal to 18 OR
IELTS: all sub-scores greater than or equal to 6.0
