The Department of World Languages and Literatures aims to equip students with skills for meaningful communication across linguistic and cultural boundaries. Our programs first build foundational language abilities (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), then foster deep engagement with both classical and contemporary global literature, whether studied in its original form or through translations.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
