The Department of World Languages and Literatures aims to equip students with strong communication skills for interacting with non-English speakers who may have vastly different cultural perspectives. Beyond building foundational language abilities (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), our programs foster deep appreciation for both classical and contemporary global literature, whether studied in their original languages or through translations.
Students must Earn a high school diploma, or equivalent and earn the equivalent of a U.S. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or an average of “B” grades. Successfully complete three years of college preparatory mathematics with a minimum grade of “C-” or better.
English Language Requirements: IELTS - 6.0, TOEFL – 61 (IBT), Paper based – 500; Pearson Test of English (PTE) – 44.
