The BA in Biological Sciences offers students a broad foundation in biology while allowing significant flexibility in course selection both within and outside the field. This program typically appeals to those not pursuing professional biology careers but rather fields with biological components. BA students can collaborate with advisors to tailor their studies for K-12 teaching credentials or pre-professional tracks like pharmacy, optometry, or dentistry. This degree also serves well for business applications with biological focus (such as biotech management) or government roles in biology-related agencies (including Fish and Wildlife, Forestry, or USDA). Additionally, it suits careers in science communication, scientific illustration, or patent law.
