The psychology department provides a Master of Arts in Psychology with specializations in Developmental Psychology, Mind, Brain & Behavior, and Social Psychology. Additionally, it offers a Master of Science in Psychology with focus areas in Clinical Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and School Psychology. Graduates with master's degrees in psychology can pursue teaching roles at community colleges or as lecturers in four-year institutions. Every specialization is tailored to address student aspirations and prepare them for career objectives within their chosen field. Strong mentorship between students and faculty advisors is a key component of each graduate program. The Developmental Psychology track examines human growth across the lifespan, from infancy to old age. Key research areas encompass socio-emotional growth, family dynamics, cultural influences on development, cognitive processes, and language acquisition. This program serves as excellent preparation for doctoral studies and equips students for academic, research, or practical careers in child and developmental psychology. Psychology (M.A.): Concentration in Developmental Psychology requires a minimum of 36 units
