The Biology Department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs spanning the full spectrum of biological sciences. Curriculum options extend from foundational biology courses to specialized offerings across major biological fields. To assist with academic planning, the department organizes courses into focused concentrations that guide students toward suitable study paths in different biological specialties. Students can choose between general microbiology or medical microbiology tracks. Choosing the right program equips learners for professional opportunities in research, industry, healthcare, clinical labs, or government roles, while also establishing a foundation for advanced studies like the Master of Arts in Biology with a Microbiology focus. Currently, all Biology concentrations are at capacity, receiving more applications than available spots.

You are considered a freshman applicant if you will have a high school diploma or GED and have not enrolled at any college or university beyond the summer immediately following your high school graduation.

We do not accept credential evaluations from third-party companies.
If you are admitted, you will be required to submit official, final transcripts at a later date.
