Biology explores living systems across time. The College's faculty maintains that a solid foundation in biological principles is crucial for comprehending human existence, our environment, and addressing critical global challenges while contributing to potential solutions. Our program encompasses diverse disciplines, ranging from theoretical frameworks to hands-on experimentation, covering molecular genetics to ecosystem dynamics. As a premier research institution, the Biological Sciences Collegiate Division emphasizes scientific inquiry, investigation, and breakthroughs across all courses. The program aims to provide students with: (1) mastery of established biological theories and their empirical foundations, and (2) recognition of current knowledge limitations and emerging research possibilities. Bachelor of Science (BS): The BS program caters to students pursuing advanced specialization through elective coursework, research participation, and completion of a thesis documenting their investigations. Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in: (1) scientific methodology and experimental design, (2) research data collection, (3) critical analysis of research findings, (4) contextual interpretation within specialized fields, and (5) effective communication of their work through a BS Thesis.
