The MFT Program follows a cohort-based structure, accepting new students annually. This demanding program combines in-depth clinical training with challenging coursework to equip graduates for entry-level marriage and family therapy practice. Students must complete 2.5 years of study, spanning three summer sessions from early June in their first year through late August in their second year, to fulfill all program requirements.
Our graduates develop skills to deliver therapy and drive meaningful change with a social justice perspective across diverse settings. During their studies, they engage with systemic and social constructionist concepts through a culturally-responsive curriculum, complemented by comprehensive, community-oriented clinical training focused on strengths. The program maintains COAMFTE accreditation while remaining financially accessible.
