To be admitted to our MS Program, an applicant must have received a baccalaureate degree in one of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, with background in Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Programming in a language such as C or Fortran. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their prior academic record and their potential for creative research and teaching, as demonstrated in submitted application materials. These materials will include official university transcripts, letters of recommendation, Resume and Statement of Purpose from an accredited institution. The applicant must have an undergraduate Grade Point Average of at least 3.0/4.0. All graduate and post-baccalaureate applicants (regardless of citizenship status) applying to SDSU from an international institution where the medium of instruction was not English must submit one of the following as proof of English proficiency:
TOEFL minimum score of 80 iBT, 550 PBT. IELTS overall score of 6.5 or higher.
