The Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) master's program, formerly known as Computation for Design and Optimization (CDO) SM, equips future engineers and scientists with cutting-edge computational techniques. This cross-disciplinary curriculum delivers robust training in computational strategies for designing and managing sophisticated engineering and scientific systems.
Administered by the Center for Computational Science & Engineering, the CSE SM program enables collaboration with faculty throughout the university. Students engage in practical projects and thesis work, implementing computational approaches across various fields - from aerospace engineering to nanoscale technologies, and from network architectures to communication systems. Graduates pursue careers in industries and research institutions where computational modeling, simulation, and optimization are essential.
