The Dental Assisting curriculum organizes its fourteen technical courses to equip students with the fundamental knowledge and abilities needed to join dental healthcare teams and earn a Level I Certificate in Dental Assisting. This 12-month program operates exclusively during fall semesters as a full-time daytime course with a capped enrollment of 24 students. Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (a specialized body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education), the program maintains high educational standards.
Our program's goal is to deliver competency-focused education for diverse communities. As one of Texas' accredited Dental Assisting Programs, we strive for excellence in serving both traditional and nontraditional students. The curriculum prepares graduates with the core competencies required to function effectively as dental professionals while meeting national certification standards.
