NYU College of Dentistry provides an accelerated seven-year dual-degree dental program in collaboration with NYU College of Arts and Science and Adelphi University. This intensive track is tailored for highly driven high school students committed to pursuing dentistry, culminating in both a Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree upon successful completion.
Students spend their initial three years predominantly at the undergraduate partner institution before transitioning to NYU Dentistry for the final four years. The program's coursework focuses on behavioral and social sciences to develop well-rounded, patient-centered dental practitioners.
Prospective BA/DDS Program applicants must demonstrate exceptional high school academic performance indicating strong potential for rigorous study. Applications are submitted directly to the undergraduate institution.
Admitted students must sustain an honors-level GPA throughout their undergraduate studies, fulfill all bachelor's degree requirements, and satisfy NYU Dentistry's admission criteria. They are also required to achieve competitive scores on the Dental Admissions Test, administered during their third year in October. Final admission to NYU Dentistry involves an interview with the Admissions Committee before official acceptance is granted.
