Our CODA-accredited Dental Assistant Certificate program spans four quarters, equipping students with the skills needed for dental industry careers. The curriculum blends classroom instruction with practical training and clinical rotations. Under the guidance of experienced instructors and licensed dentists, you'll master patient care techniques while working in our modern Dental Education Clinic located in the Health Education Center on Beacon Hill. High school students can begin their dental education early through Washington State's Running Start Program or Seattle Skills Center pathways. Post-graduation, these credits may transfer to our CODA-accredited Dental Assisting Program. Upon earning your certificate, you can pursue further education including an AAS-T in Allied Health, creating pathways to bachelor's degree programs at Seattle Central College. Graduates of our accredited program also qualify for our Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Certificate program, where you'll learn advanced skills like performing fillings and taking final impressions under dental supervision.
