This unique program, collaboratively offered by the Gnaegi Center for Health Care Ethics and the Department of Philosophy, awards a single integrated doctorate rather than separate degrees. The curriculum comprises 66 credit hours: 24 in health care ethics, 30 in philosophy, and 12 dedicated to dissertation research. Full-time students typically finish their pre-exam coursework within three years by taking nine credits each semester. Additional requirements include demonstrating proficiency in Library Database Skills, Medical Terminology, and Statistics/Study Design, followed by comprehensive written and oral examinations.
