Saint Louis University's environmental science program cultivates scientific insight into Earth's natural systems and their complex relationships with human communities. This interdisciplinary initiative brings together multiple academic departments to offer a boundary-crossing degree experience. Housed within the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, the program offers personalized guidance and mentorship. Environmental science explores our planet's interconnected systems - the geosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere - with special attention to humanity's role within these systems. The curriculum reveals how these spheres naturally interact, how human actions impact environmental processes, and how environmental changes affect societies. Students begin by building comprehensive knowledge across all environmental spheres before specializing in areas like soil science, hydrology, energy systems, or climate studies. A letter from the sponsor's bank verifying that the funds are available and will be so for the duration of the student's study at the University

Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) may be submitted, but are not required. Applicants will be evaluated equally, with or without submitted test scores. Applicants who choose to submit the ACT/SAT, or are required to submit proof of English proficiency, can have scores sent electronically from the testing company or include them on official high school transcripts.
