This rigorous, hands-on program trains educators to work inclusively with diverse student populations, including those with special needs and English language learners. Graduates qualify for multiple Illinois teaching certifications. The Elementary Education program aims to develop skilled, compassionate teachers focused on nurturing children's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. Participants enhance their communication abilities, subject matter expertise, assessment techniques, and instructional methods to effectively teach diverse learners. Throughout the program, students cultivate their professional identity as educators capable of driving positive change in schools. This graduate program results in an Illinois teaching certification for grades 1-6 and is tailored for individuals with non-education bachelor's degrees.
