Nuclear medicine technologists administer trace amounts of radioactive pharmaceuticals to capture detailed internal images. At Roosevelt University, students explore chemistry, pharmacy, and technical studies while training to provide patient care. Distinct from nursing, medicine, and pharmacy, these healthcare roles offer vital diagnostic, technical, therapeutic, and direct patient services that support both medical teams and those under their care. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job prospects for certified professionals range from favorable to outstanding. Bachelor's programs encompass Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Histotechnology, Medical Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy Technology, and Radiography. These programs combine Roosevelt University coursework with hands-on clinical training at partner facilities, though admission to the clinical component requires a separate application with no guaranteed acceptance.
