The Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) in Interdisciplinary Music Industry provides students with adaptable curriculum options to pursue both academic and creative passions. This BMA program is part of the Interdisciplinary Conservatory within the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). Our teaching staff includes dedicated full-time instructors alongside working music professionals who contribute their specialized skills to our conservatories. CCPA fosters an environment where students collaborate with top-tier mentors, benefiting from small class sizes that enable personalized education. The BMA with an Interdisciplinary Music Industry focus presents three distinct academic tracks for those looking to blend music studies with liberal arts and sciences, plus a dedicated music industry specialization. The program allows customization through elective General Studies courses and targeted music industry coursework. In their final year, students undertake professional internships and develop a capstone project that synthesizes their academic journey, artistic interests, and practical experiences.

Roosevelt requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Students with a GPA just below 2.0 may be still considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to Roosevelt University.
If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts.
Roosevelt is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission.
