Learning Objectives for Master's and Doctoral Programs in Computer Science
Upon earning their MS or PhD in Computer Science, graduates will achieve the following:
Establish a robust graduate-level foundation in Computer Science. Graduates will exhibit comprehensive knowledge across multiple subfields, integrate concepts from diverse areas to solve problems, and develop specialized expertise in their chosen thesis domain.
Execute autonomous research initiatives. Graduates will formulate original research questions, situate them within existing academic literature, and carry out independent investigations yielding scientifically valid outcomes.
Exhibit professional communication proficiency. Graduates will produce clear, logically structured technical documents, deliver conference-quality presentations, effectively articulate scientific concepts both verbally and in writing, and respond competently to unexpected technical inquiries in public forums.
