The Department of Family, Nutrition, and Exercise Sciences (FNES) at Queens College, part of the City University of New York, provides a Didactic Program in Dietetics as part of its undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetics curriculum. This program aligns with the educational standards set by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) under the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), while also supporting the FNES Department's objectives.
Queens College's Nutrition and Dietetics program equips students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the field of nutrition, preparing them for supervised practice programs. Successful completion leads to eligibility for the Commission on Dietetic Registration's credentialing exam to become registered dietitian nutritionists. The program also serves as a foundation for graduate studies and careers focused on improving nutritional health for individuals, families, and communities in our globalized world.
