Medical laboratory science, also known as clinical laboratory science, focuses on performing essential diagnostic tests to assess health conditions and identify diseases. Accredited medical laboratory professionals practice in diverse environments including hospitals, research facilities, public health agencies, forensic labs, academic institutions, and pharmaceutical companies. The Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science spans 31 months. Students complete 88 credits of foundational science courses and general education requirements during the initial three years. The final year involves 32 credits of hands-on clinical training at partner medical facilities.
