The four-year bachelor's degree program equips students to become skilled medical imaging professionals capable of working in various healthcare settings. The curriculum's academic and clinical components foster adaptable graduates ready to take on leadership roles and academic challenges post-graduation. In their initial two years, students complete required general education courses. Following sophomore year, candidates compete for admission to the Department of Allied Health Sciences at UNC School of Medicine. Radiologic Technology focuses on applying radiation, mainly x-rays, for diagnosing illnesses and evaluating injuries. While medical imaging has long been fundamental to diagnosis, recent technological breakthroughs and new imaging methods have made it one of medicine's fastest-growing, most in-demand specialties.
All students will be expected to have completed the pre-university curriculum (Secondary School/High School) in their country prior to enrolling at UNC-Chapel Hill. English Language Tests: TOEFL minimum is 100; IELTS minimum is 7.0; PTE minimum is 68.
